Behind the Scenes: Building Year Two
While things may look calm on the surface, it’s been full steam ahead behind the scenes at the CoHub.
As we prepare to step into our second year, we’ve been focused on strengthening the foundations that will take us further, faster. From launching our new website to transitioning onto PAYE and fully digitised finance systems, we’re building the infrastructure to match our impact.
We’ve developed new governance packs to support strong, resident-led leadership, refreshed our marketing, installed new signage outside the Hub, and introduced a new POS system for The Community Closet to support our growing shop.
At the same time, we’ve been quietly seed sowing - planning, designing and shaping what the next year will bring.
There’s just one final piece to land: fixing the roof. Once that’s done, we’ll be fully set to roll out our complete digital systems with no interruptions.
No leaks. No limits. Year Two, we’re ready!

What’s On: A New Season at The Hub
We’re stepping into the new season with a fresh timetable, new activities, and even more happening at The Hub.
From after Easter, our weekly programme is expanding to include new sessions alongside your regular favourites. Whether you’re looking to move more, connect with others, or get practical support, there’s something for everyone.
New weekly additions include:

Peep at Stay & Play

Access Cohort Disability Monthly Forum
Alongside this, we’re introducing monthly specials - one-off sessions, pop-ups and events designed to bring something extra to the space.

And we’re going BIG this spring with two major community events:

20 May - Hackney Opportunity Fair (jobs, training, volunteering and advice for the whole borough)
This is about building a space that works for real life - practical, social, supportive and led by what people actually need.

Extended
We’ve now extended our Thursday IAG Help Hub to run all day, giving more people access to the support they need.
Morning sessions focus on:

PIP queries and applications
Afternoon sessions cover:

Council Tax support

Benefits checks & applications

Debt, budgeting & financial guidance

Employment and digital support
We also host Citizens Advice (65+) every Friday, ensuring even more specialist support is available across the week.
Every IAG need - covered.
Appointments must be booked in advance, but you’re welcome to drop in anytime to get booked in!
