Wednesday's Men
“I started the Men’s Group in 2021 after coming through my own mental health struggles. I knew how hard it could be for men to say they weren’t OK, and I wanted to create the kind of space I’d needed myself - somewhere you could turn up, have a cuppa, talk if you wanted to, laugh if you needed to, and know you weren’t being judged.
Five years later, seeing men supporting each other and knowing nobody has to struggle alone is what keeps me doing it.”
Steve, Men’s Group Lead

Who We Are
Our story

Wednesday’s Men is a friendly, peer-led space for men aged 30+ across Hackney to connect, talk, laugh and build genuine friendships. Started by Steve in 2021 following his own mental health struggles, the group is built around a simple idea: men need somewhere they can show up as themselves, without judgement or pressure.
Now based at The CoHub, the group meets every Wednesday for good conversation, shared food, activities, trips and plenty of laughs. There’s no expectation to talk about mental health - sometimes support looks like a serious conversation, and sometimes it’s simply having a cuppa with people who notice when you’re not there.
Real conversations. Real connections. Real support.
