When Community steps up, incredible things happen.
Throughout the year, The Community Closet runs seasonal donation drives to support residents during times when demand is highest. From winter coat collections and back-to-school clothing drives to our much-loved Closet Christmas, these campaigns invite the community to come together and help ensure families across Hackney have the essentials they need.
During these periods we may put out specific calls for donations, and every contribution - big or small - helps us respond quickly and support local residents with dignity.

Work Ready Wardrobe
We’re collecting smart, work-ready clothing to help local residents step into new opportunities with confidence.
From interviews to first days on the job, the right outfit can make all the difference. We’re looking for quality donations including smart clothing, blazers, shirts, trousers, dresses, and work shoes - ready to help someone take that next step.
All items will go directly to residents attending the Hackney Inclusion Fair and those preparing for employment, training, and volunteering opportunities.
Drop off donations at the CoHub, Mon - Thurs, 10am-3pm (until Oct 10th).
Because confidence starts before you even say a word.

Donate Arts & Craft supplies, Power the Palettes
We’re collecting arts & crafts supplies to help bring our Kids Art Sessions to life - saving vital funds to keep our community work going.
We’re looking for paints, felt tips, sketching paper, craft bits, flowers, ribbons, glitter, felt sheets, PVA glue, kids scissors and anything else that could be resused by us!
Every donation helps us create a joyful, welcoming session for local children - and also keeps the Closet supporting the community long after the class stops.
Drop off donations at the CoHub, Monday–Thursday, 10am-3pm.
Because it’s the little things that make big community impacts.
