After receiving advice, Agnes began visiting our Community Pantry, helping to ease the pressure on her household budget while introducing her to a friendly, welcoming community. Before long, familiar faces became friends, and weekly visits became something she genuinely looked forward to.

Encouraged to try some of our wellbeing activities, Agnes joined both Tai Chi and Zumba. Gentle movement, laughter and regular social contact helped rebuild her confidence, improve her mobility and give her a reason to get out of the house each week.

​

More recently, Agnes has also become a regular member of our Osteoarthritis Support Group, where she shares experiences with others, learns practical ways to manage her condition and feels understood by people facing similar challenges.

​

Today, Agnes is one of the many familiar smiling faces around The CoHub.

​

Since becoming part of our community, her social isolation has reduced dramatically and her reliance on GP services has decreased. By connecting practical advice with food support, physical activity and peer support, we've been able to help improve not just one aspect of Agnes' life, but her overall wellbeing.

​

Agnes' journey is a reminder that lasting impact doesn't always come from one big intervention. Sometimes it comes from a series of small, connected steps that help someone feel healthier, happier and part of their community once again.
